Today's Funeral Service

The funeral service was beautiful, and so heartwarming. Pastor Karl officiated. His message was so relevant, and so inspired by God. I appreciate that Karl focused on the hope we have because of Christ. We so are grateful that because of Jesus we have the promise that we'll one day see our Gisele again. He really tied that together well, making it very clear. I really appreciate that he encouraged us all to stand together and pray after he spoke, and encouraged everyone to then give us hugs. It was very comforting to receive so much love from everyone.

If anyone took pictures please email them to me. I thought her casket looked like a little cloud with flowers on top and would like a photo of it please if anyone has one.

I've been praying for you ever since I saw you at church a week ago. Your write-up of the funeral is so precious. I won't be able to come to the memorial on Saturday, but I wanted you to know that I love you and know that Jesus will continue to comfort you and meet you at every point of need. Feel free to call and come in again sometime.

Thank you so much. It's been challenging but God really is meeting me "at every point of need". God is still so very good. Hope to see you soon.

    Medical History:

Born 2/7/14 eight weeks early with a large SCT tumor (Sacrococcygeal Teratoma) and lymphangiectasia causing severe chylothorax (aka pleural effusion).

She weighed about 4 lbs plus the 2.5 lb tumor.

Major five hour surgery to remove it on 2/13. Had to be resuscitated for about 90 mins when surgery was almost complete. It's a miracle she survived, and did not have significant brain damage.

The chylothorax caused a weak immune system and she passed away from a pneumonia infection on 5/21/14.
