Memorial

Today was Gisele's memorial and it was very nice. My wife shared some touching moments she spent with Gisele and Pastor Karl shared a direct message, "It's not good bye forever, it's good bye until I see you again." We love you Gisele!

We want to thank everyone that in one way or another became a part of Gisele's life. The support, prayers, and the love has been overwhelming, and we would not have been able to handle this situation without it.  We love you guys.

God Bless

P.S. There was a lady with blond hair wearing a white top that we wish we'd have met. We're glad you were a part of our special day of remembering Gisele.

That was our wonderful friend Kathleen from mine and Sameh's church. Her and her wonderful fiance (also named Ron) have followed the blog and kept you all in prayer. I will pass your message along to her.

Tiffany,
You continue to amaze me. From the timid little girl I've know from birth to the Godly woman you have grown into. Gisele was blest to have you as a mother. God has blest your family with ability to touch so many lives with His loving grace. Thank you for your gentle boldness in His name.
I love you, Aunt Odette

Hi Tiffany, I just learned from your mom about the sad events you and Ron have been experiencing recently. I still remember you as the sweet and beautiful little girl and saddens me to hear the pain you are going through. But remember what Jesus told us "do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my father's house are many rooms; if it were not so I would have told you, I am going there to prepare a place for you". John 14;1-2. I truly believe your daughter is in a much better place with our Lord. My husband and I will keep you in our prayers.

Hi I haven't read your whole blog but I will when I get a chance later today. I just thought I would leave a message because I too had a baby who was born with sCT Teratoma. My daughter survived and is doing very well, however I know the nightmare of what this is. There is a big online group that I'm part of and we don't publicise it as such but if you guys send me an email I will give you the details so you can decide if you want to join.
Thanks, S.

Hi Fellow SCT mom, I wasn't ready for connecting at the time you sent this message. I was hurting so much and needed a season of not talking about it. I would like to join your group if it's still possible. The site is free so access to emails is paid now and I can't see your email address. Would you mind posting the site name instead of your email so you don't get spammed? Thanks, Tiffany

    Medical History:

Born 2/7/14 eight weeks early with a large SCT tumor (Sacrococcygeal Teratoma) and lymphangiectasia causing severe chylothorax (aka pleural effusion).

She weighed about 4 lbs plus the 2.5 lb tumor.

Major five hour surgery to remove it on 2/13. Had to be resuscitated for about 90 mins when surgery was almost complete. It's a miracle she survived, and did not have significant brain damage.

The chylothorax caused a weak immune system and she passed away from a pneumonia infection on 5/21/14.
