Gisele was a gift from God. She brought so much joy to our hearts. God promised to be with her while she was here, and bring good things despite the horrible circumstances (Romans 8:28). Her life was not in vain. It was full of meaning. She suffered for a long time, and though it was very sad, we have seen good things come about. She accomplished so much just being a little baby because people have told us how they've been encouraged in their faith in God. Our precious baby caused us to draw nearer to God, and she blessed our hearts so much. As we asked Him to help us, He encouraged and comforted us, and guided us. He never forsook us. We have been inspired by God, because of Gisele, to live more faithfully before Him (Matt 7:24-25).
We know that God would do what is the most loving thing for her. Though we prayed desperately for healing, we prayed for His will because we knew He'd choose what's best. Soon before she passed we learned that living would have been a very miserable and painful experience for her, yet we still prayed and waited for complete healing. When she passed we knew that was best for her even though we miss her so dearly. We still believe God is good because he sent his son to die for our sins so we could spend eternity with him. We're so thankful to Jesus for the assurance that one day we'll be reunited with our sweet daughter. God is the loving heavenly Father who stayed by our side, holding us up in our time of need. Gisele's life inspired me to think about eternity and to care more about others eternity. I promised Gisele her life will not be in vain, so I will keep telling our story to share the gospel with others. We have shared our story so openly in hopes that you would be "inspired" to think of your own eternity (Rom 10:9). For those of you experiencing a similar plight to we hope you are encouraged.
